Training is a Versus mode in ARMS. It allows players to fight specially-programed computer opponents to practice utilizing the game's fundamental mechanics.

Exercises

  • The basics - explains the game's controls and allows players to compete in a short battle. It is the only exercise available in multiplayer.
  • Beginner punches - encourages punching a slow-moving Helix.
  • Intermediate punches - encourages punching a moving Kid Cobra.
  • Advanced punches - encourages punching a fast-moving Ribbon Girl.
  • Guard breaking - encourages punishing a shielding Master Mummy.
  • Trading punches - encourages avoiding and punishing Min Min's punches.
  • Don't get thrown - encourages avoiding and punishing Ninjara's grabs.
  • Rush practice - encourages proper utilization of Rush attacks and avoiding Byte & Barq's rush attacks.
  • Anti-jump practice - encourages punishing a jumping Mechanica.
  • Anti-counter practice - encourages players to prevent Twintelle from countering attacks.
