Five additional fighters were added in free post-launch updates, bringing the total to fifteen.[1] The last fighter, Dr. Coyle, was released on 2017-12-21.

Each fighter has their own special abilities and properties to distinguish them from one other. They each have a set of three signature ARMS, which are the ones available to them from the start, but they can unlock other ARMS to use via the ARM Getter. Uniquely, Springtron shares his signature ARMS with Spring Man, and unlocking more ARMS for one also unlocks them for the other. Each fighter has their own home stage that matches their theme and motifs.
