(concerning ARM types)

As confusion still goes on concerning ARM Types, I feel like some of the supposed Unique ARMS would probably fit into other categories. For example the "bird" ARMS seem functionally the same as Curve type ARMS. Also, from the description from the April direct, it seems Heavy ARMS are the same thing as Heavy weight ARMS, so I think both Blorb and the two Hammer arms should go into that category. Megawatt and Megavolt

Is there really a Megawatt and a Megavolt? Gomtuu (talk) 13:38, 4 May 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Not sure what the Megawatt is supposed to be, but Megavolt probably refers to the yellow heavy ARM we see on Min Min in her artwork. Nyargleblargle (talk) 15:05, 4 May 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]

ARMS Getter

I'd say the mode qualifies for its own page. Once the game is out, we'll probably need to put final details on cost, criteria to receive ARMS, and other details like that; all that info would probably be too much for just one section. Nyargleblargle (talk) 19:10, 6 May 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Yeah, ARMS Getter will likely be moved to a separate page when more info is available. I don't see the point of moving it to a different page right now. We already have enough stubs as it is. XenonNSMB (talk) 20:30, 6 May 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I agree. For now, if we think it doesn't belong here, the ARMS Getter section could be moved to the ARMS (game) page, which could use info about the other game modes too. Gomtuu (talk) 22:20, 6 May 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Shield Type

It seems reasonable to add a Shield type for the Guardian and Parasol, but has the existence of this type been officially confirmed? Gomtuu (talk) 09:10, 20 May 2017 (EDT)

I'd be fine with listing unnamed types with ARMS that very clearly utilize the same mechanics as each other, but in the particular case of Guardian and Parasol, they seem to function differently (it doesn't seem that you can hold the parasol out, for example). Nyargleblargle (talk) 14:44, 20 May 2017 (EDT)
Do you actually have to do something special to make the Guardian stay out, or does it just travel slowly (and therefore automatically stay out for a long time) once it's been thrown? Gomtuu (talk) 15:17, 20 May 2017 (EDT)
I'm not 100% sure if it requires any special input, but the speed difference might be significant enough for a separate type either way. Nyargleblargle (talk) 21:49, 20 May 2017 (EDT)
Okay. Well, I guess we should stick to official information and not assign them a Shield type yet. If that turns out to be a thing, we can always update them later, and I think the Navbox groupings you set up are a good interim solution. As for the question of whether Guardian and Parasol are similar enough to be grouped in the Navbox, I don't feel strongly about that either way. Gomtuu (talk) 00:46, 21 May 2017 (EDT)

Changing Colours

I found on Reddit that you can change the colour of your fighter by holding down the left joycon and then moving left or right. Do you think we could use this to get some clearer images of the alts? Mjmannella (talk) 1:42, 27 May 2017 (UTC)

I'll try and get some pictures of alts on the Character Select Screen during the next Testpunch. Nyargleblargle (talk) 21:43, 26 May 2017 (EDT)
Thanks! Also, it looks like I put this under the wrong talk page... Oh well. Mjmannella (talk) 9:51, 26 May 2017 (EST)
Didn't even notice :P Nyargleblargle (talk) 21:52, 26 May 2017 (EDT)

Unique types

Would we want to label ARMS that function differently than any other, like Blorb or Whammer, as "Unique" types or something unless Nintendo gives them an official distinction? Nyargleblargle (talk) 09:39, 4 June 2017 (EDT)

Sure, that sounds okay to me. Gomtuu (talk) 20:06, 4 June 2017 (EDT)
