Usefulness?

When this template was named Template:Button, it was more useful because it was a semantic way of including Switch button images. Now that it's just called SVG, I don't see how it's better than a simple [[File:Token.svg|20px]] link. I guess it buys us a default size, but is that all? Gomtuu (talk) 16:32, 5 June 2017 (EDT)

To clarify, I'm not suggesting we delete this template. I'm suggesting we rename it back to Template:Button and create a separate template called Template:Token for the token image. That way, the templates serve a semantic purpose. Gomtuu (talk) 16:40, 5 June 2017 (EDT)
Well, I don't think it's very practical to create a separate template for every SVG image we use on this wiki. I could move it back to Template:Button, I guess, but I doubt that button images are the only SVGs we're going to use. Either way, you can still use Template:Button the same as you used it before, because it's a redirect now. --XenonNSMB (talk, contribs) 16:52, 5 June 2017 (EDT)
Splitting it would probably be more intuitive to newer writers, so I'd say it's better off as such. Nyargleblargle (talk) 17:07, 5 June 2017 (EDT)
So, we move this page back to Template:Button, and make Template:Token the syntax for the token image? --XenonNSMB (talk, contribs) 17:10, 5 June 2017 (EDT)
