'''Random''' is a setting where, instead of you choosing a character, the [[Nintendo Switch|AI]] chooses it. It can also be done with stages.
'''Random''' is a setting on the character and stage select screens, symbolized by a grey question mark. It chooses an unrevealed and, as the name implies, random option present elsewhere on the screen. If a random character is selected by a player, the character will be revealed immediately, acting as though the player specifically chose the character. Conversely, the player will not know the identity of a random stage until the loading screen is shown.

If a random character is selected by a player, the character will be revealed immediately, acting as though the player specifically chose the character. Conversely, the player will not know the identity of a random stage until the loading screen is shown.
