When a fighter grabs, both of their arms are locked together by a wide, green beam, which heads towards the targeted opponent.  If they successfully hit their target, the grab animation starts, dealing upwards of 150 damage, depending on the ARMS and Fighter used. They all throw opponents across a stage, giving them time to recover. Grabs take longer than standard attacks, but if done successfully, prevent their target from moving. However, they leave a Fighter open to attack whilst being used, as both their ARMS are used.

In 3 or 4 player modes, you can stop a grab by attacking the person who is grabbing. Grabs cannot be blocked by shielding, but they can be blocked if their target punches with one ARM (or projectile from an ARM) just before being hit.
