Steelhead first discovered ARMS upon its initial announcement on January 12th, 2017. With excitement for the new game, he and fellow Smash Bros. player Guts, created a Discord server for ARMS. Despite initially being somewhat of a joke, the server grew to a large size and eventually outclassed many other ARMS Discords. After gaining some help from the Pokken community for moderation, as well as partnering with the r/ARMS Discord Server, the server was renamed ARMS Central. This server's goal was to be a hub for most, if not all, other ARMS communities while also being a community itself. To this day ARMS Central is still utilized by many players and community members.

Throughout 2017, after ARMS' release, Steelhead supported the local St. Louis ARMS scene, with it having one of the largest offline playerbases in the USA. Their events culminated with Smash Out Hunger 2017 in December of 2017 which outclassed simply being a local and became an ARMS major. Under the Neopunch team, Steelhead demonstrated his skills and took 1st place at the event, winning over numerous of the top players in St. Louis, including HanukkahJamboree, N-Man, and Luna-Gabs. Shortly after this win, he parted ways with Neopunch.

On February 4th, 2018, Steelhead formally announced that he was leaving the ARMS community as the game was bringing out the worst in his emotions. He often engaged in arguments or drama with other players which didn't promote a positive environment. However, the final straw in his decision to retire was when he broke a controller due to anger caused by a Ranked Match. Steelhead still occasionally went to locals and supported the community throughout his retirement, even running a small tournament known as "The Steel Trap" in August of 2019, but did not fully come back to the community until early March of 2020, just before the announcement of an ARMS character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. After coming back from retirement, he continued to show his prowess by placing high in numerous online majors including Bamboo Battles: Hibernation Arc and Quarantined Rapport 2.

Throughout Steelhead's ARMS career, he has displayed that he is one of the best players in North America. He has placed #1 on the St. Louis ARMS Power Ranking numerous times, as well as ranking #0 during his time off. He has also become the most prominent, and proficient, Max Brass user in the world with Pega retiring and Serp being less active than he once was. Over his ARMS journey, Steelhead has also been a part of numerous well known eSports organizations including Empire Arcadia, BreakThough eSports, and Milky Way eSports. Once Milky Way eSports disbanded, Steelhead preferred to remain unsponsored as he found being on a team to be unnecessary for ARMS. Despite being essentially retired for a decent fraction of ARMS' life, Steelhead has remained a prominent member of the community and one of its best players, being considered by many to be in the top five best players in North America.

Playstyle
Playstyle
Steelhead leans more on the defensive side than most Max Brass players. His style utilizes Brass' permacharge to keep heavy pressure from a considerable distance. He tends to stick to Brass' default ARMS, but as time passed he began to embrace customs, using ARMS like Chakram and Hydra more frequently. His style will change drastically depending on the opponent between the defensive zoning he was previously known for and a more aggressive bait-and-punish style.

Steelhead has also been known to play Springtron on occasion, with some considering him to be the best Springtron player in the world. This is partially due to the overall lack of Springtron players.

Trivia
*Steelhead's tag just simply came to him one day. After creating it, he realized just how fitting it was with how he uses Max Brass' silver alt and his favorite Street Fighter character, Q, just so happens to have a metal mask that covers his whole head.
*Besides ARMS, Steelhead's favorite games are Xenoblade Chronicles X and The Wonderful 101.
*Steelhead's highest placement on the Global Dashboard is #7.
