According to one of Biff's messages when fighting [[Mechanica]] during the [[Grand Prix]], Springtron may have been built using blueprints stolen from [[Mechanica]] during a failed attempt at discovering her weakness. With additional combat data procured from [[Helix]]'s presence within the ARMS League, Springtron was created by scientists at ARMS Labs with [[Dr. Coyle]] being the head of the project. Originally only making sporadic appearances crashing the Grand Prix, he was later allowed proper entry into the competition.

Springtron is a secret boss in Grand Prix mode, fought immediately before [[Max Brass]] or [[Dr. Coyle]]. To encounter him, the player must play through Grand Prix on Level 4 or higher without losing a single round prior to the final battle. The player will only have one chance to defeat Springtron (and choosing to Save & Quit on the pause menu will also prevent the player from fighting him again in that Grand Prix), after which they will be taken directly to the Grand Finale.

He has the same ARMS, stats, and deflect shockwave of Spring Man, but instead of gaining a permanent charge at 25% health, he is capable of unleashing a large shockwave after fully charging. This shockwave disables any ARMS that were punching upon its release, and gives Springtron a constant charge and dramatically increased movement speed for approximately ten seconds, unless he is knocked down in which case the effect disappears immediately.

Springtron is significantly stronger as a boss than he is as a playable character, boasting increased movement speed both with the buff from his shockwave and without, and only taking half a second to activate his shockwave as opposed to the full second needed when playing as him. He always starts each round in a charged-up state as a boss.

Note: Springtron shares most of his quotes with Spring Man, though they are edited to sound more robotic.

*Springtron is the youngest ARMS character, at 0 years old. The second youngest is Helix, at 2 years old. This reflects how he was only just recently built during the events of the game.

*Because Spring Man and Springtron share the same ARMS, whenever Springtron gets new ARMS, the same ARMS are available for Spring Man, and vice versa.

*Though he was created in Spring Man’s image his relationship with him is unknown.

*Springtron fits the typical fighting game trope of a clone character, sharing most of his abilities, attributes, animations and quotes with Spring Man.

*Springtron has the smallest number of voice clips recorded for him, with only five. This is because most of his voice clips are edited versions of Spring Man's voice clips made to sound robotic.

*Springtron and Spring Man are the only characters known to share a voice actor with each other.
