Can we confirm that this is a Curve ARM? I can't look at gameplay footage right now, but the trailer made it seem like the Funchuk doesn't curve that much. Nyargleblargle (talk) 12:58, 24 August 2017 (EDT)

So here's the thing, according to this official post the Funchuk is similar to the Slapamander, which is a Whip type. The problem is that the shape of the attack is completely different, and the movement is a bit off (less homing, etc.) Is the Tumblr post enough to classify the weapon as a Whip, or are the differences too great? I'd argue that the differences are comparable to, say, Revolver vs. Tribolt, which we know are both multi-shots, but I'm open to other opinions. Nyargleblargle (talk) 08:06, 18 September 2017 (EDT)

Grounded funchuks work a bit different from anything else. It's not like other boomerang/whip weapons. After sending it out, it will curve away from the direction you're aiming. For example, punching to the right and then keeping the JoyCon tilted to the right will make go mostly straight ahead, with a slightly awkward curve. However, if you punch to the right and immediately tilt the JoyCon to the left, it will extend in a wide arc to the right before going left. You can alter its course mid-flight as well, to some degree. --ChemKitt (talk) 11:38, 24 September 2017 (EDT)
