Character roster limitations

The eShop page for the Testpunch says "The Global Testpunch will allow players to test all 10 characters", but this tweet seems to indicate otherwise. Anyone know what the deal is? Will the ARMS Direct characters only be available in local multiplayer? Nyargleblargle (talk) 18:07, 19 May 2017 (EDT)

Good question! This GameXplain video that claims to show "Gameplay Demos from the Global Testpunch" (maybe a press-only early Testpunch?) does include the other three fighters. I guess we'll have to wait for more information to be sure, though. Gomtuu (talk) 22:24, 19 May 2017 (EDT)

Gathering Information

The Testpunch will give us an opportunity to gather information that we otherwise might not have access to until the game launches. I thought we should collaborate on a list of things we want to try. Here are some ideas off the top of my head. Feel free to edit this list. Gomtuu (talk) 16:12, 22 May 2017 (EDT)

  • How much damage does each ARMS weapon do when uncharged? When charged?
  • How much damage does each character do when throwing?
  • Do ARMS weapons affect throwing damage?
  • Under exactly what circumstances does Min Min's left arm turn into a dragon?
  • How does Master Mummy's healing acceleration work?
  • What are the similarities and differences between Master Mummy's ability to withstand punches and Mechanica's?
  • What are the weight classes of the ARMS weapons?
  • How does snakeboarding work?
  • What are all the color variations for all the fighters?
  • How do items, such as the HP Juice, work?
  • How many items are there, and what are they called?
  • What are the rules of the various game modes, including Volleyball and Basketball?
  • What are the names of the unknown Weapon types?
  • What are the properties of each weapon type, and weapon attribute?
  • What are each character's victory quotes?

North America Only

Didn't we talk about how these sessions aren't really North-Ameria-only? They just only fall on a Friday in North America, right? Or am I wrong about that after all? Edit: This tweet seems to confirm that there's a Testpunch session at 9:00 Saturday morning in Japan. Japan is GMT+9, so that's the 00:00 session. I'm going to revert the change.
