Nama (also known as Namathenerd) is an ARMS player from St. Louis, Missouri, best known for maining Spring Man.
He first got involved with ARMS at launch in 2017 and became part of the local scene after attending events at Game Haven, where he also worked at the time. He later invited his brother, N-man, to a local bi-weekly tournament, helping introduce him to competitive play.
Nama was active in both competing and supporting the scene through commentary and tournament help. He contributed to local St. Louis events and assisted at larger tournaments such as Smash'N'Splash 4 and Smash'N'Splash 5, with one of his favorite experiences being commentary for the ARMS 5th Anniversary event The Appetizer.
He eventually stepped away from regular competition as the local scene slowed down and his personal availability changed. Even after stepping back, he has stayed involved in the community through organizing, commentary, and Discord moderation, while continuing to maintain friendships from the ARMS scene.
Playstyle
Nama plays a patient, defensive style focused on spacing and waiting for clean openings rather than forcing aggression.

- Nama currently works as a Youth Librarian for the St. Louis County Library, where he runs gaming events like Pokémon TCG tournaments and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate monthlies.
