European ARMS Power Rank
The European ARMS Power Rank is the ranking of active ARMS players throughout Europe. Initially conceived in 2018, it was one of the first large scale rankings to primarily regard online tournaments. This ranking took into account online ARMS events that were region locked to European countries, most notably EU ARMS Challenge. It was originally created to celebrate, and give back to, the EU ARMS scene and its players.
The EU ARMS Power Rank was primarily handled by ocrim, Defur, Ripha, Iloria, and Nylis. It was initially conceived by Defur who worked alongside ocrim to handle the numbers side of the ranking in Excel. Ocrim continued to lead the calculations for most, if not all, of their Seasons. Tournaments were given values that impacted how many points players received from them. A tournament's value was affected by its amount of participants while EU ARMS Challenges also carried more weight generally. EU PR Seasons lasted anywhere from two to four months.

EU ARMS' first Season, referred to as their Summer 2018 Season, started in late May of 2018 with the European ARMS Open #1. It wasn't until July that another event occurred: EU ARMS Challenge #5. This was the series' first event since January of that year and is its all-time largest bracket in terms of entrants. Subsequent EUACs counted for the ranking until the Season's end in mid-September with EUAC #9. Each of those, aside from the final one, were won by Yätta. The second EU ARMS Open also took place on August 4th.
Unlike any other EU ARMS Power Rank Season, the Summer 2018 ranking featured unique, dedicated graphics per player. Alongside their main and potential secondaries, these images also had their placements for every event they entered, country of origin, and a fun fact pertaining to their ARMS endeavors. These graphics were created by Defur (who also made many of the subsequent Seasons' PR images) and were periodically revealed from September 21st to 23rd, 2018.[1] [2] [3] The ranking itself utilized a logo directly inspired by the Grand Prix logo. Similar to other regional rankings, the EU ARMS Power Rank featured honorary placements outside of the numerical ranking. These were split between 'Nearly There', a designation for those just outside the top 10, and 'Honorable Mentions', a title for players with achievements not inherently within the specific ranking period.

EU ARMS' second Season, referred to as their Autumn 2018 Season, started on October 1st, 2018. The first tournament of the Season was EUAC #10 on October 7th. Other than biweekly EU ARMS Challenges, the only other event in this Season was its final one: the FellowsTV Open Circuit on December 16th. Ripha placed 1st in this tournament, winning its €10 prize pot and further solidifying his #1 placement this Season.
The Power Ranking image for EU ARMS' second Season was released on December 24th.[4] As opposed to pertinent fun facts and event placements, this graphic featured players' rank in the prior Season and their total amount of points. This Season lacked Honorable Mentions and only had one player labeled Nearly There.

EU ARMS' third Season, referred to as their Winter 2018/2019 Season, started with EUAC #15 on January 6th, 2019. One week later, the FellowsTV Open Circuit 2 took place with Ripha once again winning. This Season also featured Mileve's Scrapstar Series, with its first event being on February 11th. The third FellowsTV Open Circuit occurred in mid-March with Yätta winning over Ripha. The sixth Scrapstar Series was held the very next day which was the final tournament in the ranking period.
EU ARMS' third Power Ranking image was released on March 23rd, 2019.[5] Aside from subtle Winter theming, it was nearly identical in content to the prior Season's graphic. The only major difference was the replacement of the European ARMS Power Rank logo with the EU ARMS logo.

EU ARMS' fourth Season, referred to as their Spring 2019 Season, started on March 24th, 2019, with the first tournament being Scrapstar Series #7 on March 25th. Near the end of April, Central Smackdown returned, holding its second event now with region-specific brackets, including separate Defaults and Customs brackets for EU players. Both of these only had six entrants and both were won by Raffa. The Scrapstar Series and EUAC were held regularly throughout the entirety of this Season. Ripha won ten of the former, out of the 13 held within the Season, while Iceman92 won three of the latter, out of six events.
The fourth Power Ranking image was released on June 23rd and was similar in design to the prior two graphics.[6] Two players achieved Nearly There status in this Season, contrasting Season 2 and 3's respective lone recipients.

EU ARMS' fifth Season, referred to as their Summer 2019 Season, began with EUAC #26 the day after their fourth Season ended. The following week included Scrapstar's 20th EU event as well as Central Smackdown 3. While EUAC and Scrapstar continued as usual, another series arose: The Gauntlet. Run by Grimwood, all four installments of the series occurred within this Season, with Ripha winning the three held in July. The last five Scrapstars, #29 through #33, were all won by Shedy. The last of those was the last event of the Season.
The fifth EU ARMS Power Ranking image was released on September 29th, 2019 and featured a warm tinted background for Summer theming.[7] Unlike Season 4, this Season only featured one Nearly There player.

EU ARMS' sixth Season, referred to as their Autumn 2019 Season, began with EU ARMS Challenge #33 on September 29th, 2019. While the tournament pool was fairly standard throughout this Season, their results were more varied. Replicant won EUAC #35 and #38, his first two wins in the series, on top of three Scrapstar Series. Iceman won five Scrapstars throughout the Season as well as back to back EU ARMS Challenges in November. Ripha entered fewer events this Season, albeit while still placing well, which likely contributed to this Season featuring his lowest EU PR placement. The final event of the Season was Scrapstar Series #45 on December 16th.
EU ARMS' sixth Power Ranking image was released on December 21st, 2019 and featured leaves befitting the season of Fall.[8] For the first time in this style, the graphic lacked players' respective points accrued throughout the Season. Similar to the Spring 2019 ranking, this one had two Nearly There players. As a way to further celebrate the scene, the first EU ARMS PR Invitational was held for this Season on January 10th, 2020. It garnered a $220 community-raised prize pot which was distributed to the event's top three players: Ripha, Grimwood, and Yam.

EU ARMS' seventh Season, referred to as their Winter 2020 Season, began in January of 2020. That month contained EUAC #40, the 46th Scrapstar Series, and the first Champions of the Erapean Union. The third series came to fruition as a way to hold an event with the Champions of the Era rule set, but for European players. The largest CotEU of the Season was the first and was won by Yätta. Most Scrapstars and EU ARMS Challenges throughout the Season were won by Ripha or Iceman. This includes the Season’s final event, EUAC #44, which was secured by Ripha.
The Season 7 ranking image was released on April 22nd, 2020.[9] Unlike prior graphics, this one was created by Nylis and featured no additional players outside the top 10. The specific player information on the image was identical to how it was handled in the Autumn of 2019, aside from a distinct lack of country identification- this being the only Season to lack it. In addition to a map of Europe, the graphic also contained a nod toward the upcoming Invitational. The EU ARMS PR Invitational 2 was held on April 25th and garnered a $27.50 prize pot. The event was won by Ripha with Yätta placing 2nd and Iceman92 getting 3rd.

EU ARMS' eighth Season, referred to as their Spring 2020 Season, started on April 1st, 2020 with CotEU 6. The first couple months of the Season only contained the three weekly/biweekly series, although June featured a brand new premier event: The Moshpit. Organized by Ripha, the tournament featured a $235 community-raised prize pot, which was the largest prize pot for an EU-only ARMS tournament at the time. The Moshpit was won by Raffa with Iceman92 placing 2nd and Grimwood placing 3rd. The Spring 2020 Season continued into the Summer, ending on July 21st- the day after Scrapstar EU 57.
The Season 8 ranking image was identical to the prior Season’s design, aside from a green color scheme and the return of country flags, and was released on the final day of the Season.[10] This Season’s respective Invitational, EU ARMS PR Invitational 3, occurred on August 1st. Its $200 prize pot was split between the event’s podium placements: Jr at 1st, Ripha at 2nd, and Cosalina at 3rd.

EU ARMS' ninth Season, referred to as their Summer 2020 Season, began on July 26th, 2020- the same day as EUAC #53. After a number of EUACs, Scrapstars, and the Season’s only two Champions of the Erapean Union events, the second Moshpit event took place on September 12th. Raffa was once again the winner with Grimwood placing 2nd and Iceman92 placing 3rd. Four of the Scrapstar Series' final five EU events took place within this Season, including #58 through #61. The last Scrapstar EU bracket was held in late October. This Season concluded with EU ARMS Challenge #59 on October 18th, 2020. Said event was secured by Ripha, who also won the two prior installments.
The Summer 2020 PR image was released on October 29th, 2020 and featured a yellow color scheme.[11] The fourth EU ARMS PR Invitational took place on November 7th, 2020 and featured a $20 prize pot. The event was won by Ripha, with Grimwood in 2nd and Replicant in 3rd.

EU ARMS' tenth Season, referred to as their Autumn 2020 Season, started with the 60th EU ARMS Challenge on November 1st, 2020. This Season’s four EUACs had three unique winners: Ripha (who won two), Grimwood, and Iceman92. Only three CotEU events transpired within this timeframe. Iceman won #18 and #19 while Ripha took 1st in the 20th in late November. The final event of the Season was an event run by WTN titled Deck the Neutral. It occurred on December 28th, 2021, and was won by Alistair.
The Autumn 2020 PR image was released on January 9th, 2021 and featured an orange color scheme.[12] Unlike prior graphics in this style, this one was created by Ripha- who would continue to make the ranking images for subsequent Seasons. The Season’s respective Invitational occurred on January 23rd, 2021 and had a $30 prize pot. This event was won by Grimwood, with Alistair placing 2nd and Iceman92 placing 3rd.

EU ARMS' eleventh Season, referred to as their Winter 2020/2021 Season, started in January of 2021 with the first event being Champions of the Erapean Union 21 on the 15th. The Moshpit 3 was run on February 20th and had a $790.61 prize pot. It was once again won by Raffa with Jr placing 2nd and Iceman placing 3rd. CotEU and EUAC both had five events this Season, with Ripha winning four and Jr winning one in both respective series. Champions of the Erapean Union 25 was the final numerical event in the series and took place on February 26th. The last tournament of the Season was EU ARMS Challenge #68 on March 14th, 2021.
The Winter 2020/2021 PR image was released on March 20th, 2021 and showcased a new look with bigger emphasis on national flags and specific alt colors.[13] The alt renders used were created by Frosty and LOSER. The Season 11 Invitational took place on April 17th, 2021. It was won by Replicant who defeated two previous Invitational winners in his run- Ripha and Grimwood.

EU ARMS' twelfth Season, referred to as their Spring 2021 Season, began on March 28th, 2021 with EU ARMS Challenge #69. This Season has the unique distinction of solely containing events from one series. The first four EUACs of the Season were won by Ripha, being the latter portion of a seven tournament win streak. The next two, starting with #73 on May 23rd, were won by Alistair. The final EUAC of the Spring 2021 Season took place on June 20th, being secured by Ripha.
The Spring 2021 PR image was released on June 25th, 2021 and featured a design akin to the prior Season’s graphic.[14] The 7th EU ARMS PR Invitational took place on July 10th, 2021. Ripha took 1st place in the event with Replicant getting 2nd and Iceman92 placing 3rd.

EU ARMS' thirteenth Season, referred to as their Summer 2021 Season, began in early July with EU ARMS Challenge #76. Two more EU ARMS Challenges occurred throughout August prior to The Moshpit 4 on August 22nd. The podium placements for this event’s EU bracket were Grimwood, Replicant, and Izzy. The next EUAC took place on August 29th and was won by Yam- marking his only win in the series to date. The final tournament in the Summer 2021 Season was EU ARMS Challenge #80 on September 19th, which was won by Ripha.
The Summer 2021 ranking image was released on September 22nd, 2021 and matched the prior two images visually.[15] The eighth EU ARMS PR Invitational took place on October 9th, 2021. Ripha won the event with Replicant in 2nd and Grimwood in 3rd.
Trivia
- Germany was the most represented country in EU ARMS' first Season with nine unique players reaching the eligibility requirement.[16]
