Dartremix is a North American competitive ARMS player who mains Dr. Coyle. Prior to her release, he frequently switched mains with each major update before eventually settling on Dr. Coyle as his primary character. During the time he was active, he was widely considered to be one of the best Dr. Coyle mains in North America.
Dartremix first discovered ARMS during its reveal at the January 2017 Nintendo Switch presentation and picked up the game on launch day after enjoying the Testpunch. He began competing in online events in October 2017, starting with Mega League Monday 4, and later attended offline events such as Summer Jam 12 and SwitchFest 2019.
Outside of ARMS, Dartremix has been heavily involved in other competitive communities. He served as the community lead for Mario Tennis Aces (2018–2019), ran brackets at SwitchFest 2019, and currently owns the Mario Tennis community Discord. He has also contributed to the ARMS community through initiatives such as Central Smackdown and organizing the charity event Switch to Save Lives, which featured ARMS.
After stepping away from ARMS in late 2019 due to burnout, he has remained active in gaming and creative fields. He has competed casually in Street Fighter 6, earning Capcom Pro Tour points, and is also a longtime music creator, producing video game remixes for over a decade. In addition, he is currently working on an ARMS documentary. Outside of gaming, he graduated with a degree in political science and a minor in ethics and is pursuing opportunities in that field.
Playstyle
Dartremix’s playstyle with Dr. Coyle was defensive and mix-up oriented, centered around creative use the Dragon. He frequently utilized Dragon cancels to create layered pressure, allowing him to threaten grabs while simultaneously blocking or attacking.
