Aitsu is an ARMS player from Japan who mains Master Mummy and Lola Pop. In his prime, he was considered to be one of the best Master Mummy players in Japan.
Aitsu initially started playing ARMS simply as a way to pass time until the release of Splatoon 2. However, his motivation to improve competitively came after the first official public sparring exhibition tournament in Japan. At the time, no Master Mummy players were invited to participate, despite the presence of notable specialists in other characters. One of the strongest Master Mummy players in Japan at the time, すくらん, was also not selected for the event. Seeing that the character had no representation, Aitsu decided he wanted to become a player capable of demonstrating how Master Mummy should be played at a high level.
He began entering tournaments around Version 2.0.0 of ARMS, though his tournament attendance remained limited due to scheduling constraints. As a result, despite being a longtime member of the competitive scene, Aitsu has participated in fewer events than many other veteran players. Even so, he achieved several notable placements in both online and offline competitions, including a Top 8 finish at the ARMS Japan Grand Prix 2017.
Later in his competitive career, Aitsu became increasingly associated with Lola Pop. One of his most notable contributions to the character was being among the first players in Japan to successfully implement a guard-cancel action against explosive ARMS during live tournament play, a technique that later became closely associated with his Lola Pop gameplay.
Aitsu is also known in the Japanese community by the nickname “Master Mummy Master.” The title originates from a special tournament organized by Momonoki and broadcast by Sarukani that gathered many of Japan’s best Master Mummy players in a best-of-five format. Aitsu won the event, earning the nickname. Despite this, he has stated that he does not consider himself the strongest Master Mummy player in Japan.
Although he continued using the title “Master Mummy Master,” Aitsu gradually became more widely recognized as a Lola Pop player within the Japanese ARMS scene. In recent years, Aitsu has largely stepped away from competitive scene. He has returned to playing mahjong and is currently active in Mahjong Soul.
