"Let's switch it up and play some Skillshot! You play by smashing targets as they fly by. The more targets you destroy in a row, the more points you can score. Your opponent will be smashing targets too, so watch out for incoming punches!"
—Biff

Skillshot is a cooperative or competitive multiplayer mode in which two to four players compete to score points by smashing targets. It essentially functions as a multiplayer version of ARM Getter.

"Break as many targets as possible in Skillshot! The more targets you break simultaneously, the more bonuses you'll receive. When reflexes are important, but mastery of ARMS is paramount!" Biff - Arms Direct 5.17.2017

Overview

Skillshot takes place on a standardized stage. Each fighter or team of fighters stands opposite of each other and cannot move from their ledge, though it is long enough for them to move side-to-side. In between the two ledges, targets start popping up. Fighters can smash the targets by punching or grabbing and will rack up points this way. They may also punch or grab opponents, which will temporarily stun them and keep them from smashing targets, along with awarding extra points. The more targets they smash in a row, the more points they get per punch (note that punching an opponent in a chain also counts for more points). The fighter(s) with the highest score at the end of the round is declared victorious.

The mode allows for up to four players. Players can compete in one-on-one, two-versus-two, or one-versus-two matches.
