In March of 2019, after the end of Ohio ARMS' fifth season, T.O.JOE decided to retire from ARMS to pursue other things, like [[Super Smash Bros. Ultimate]], [[Mario Kart 8 Deluxe]], and speedrunning The Touryst. Despite this retirement, he still had active involvement with Smash'N'Splash 5 as well as [[Pressure 2]]. Near the middle of Ohio ARMS' seventh season, on December 15, 2019, he made the official name change from Jon Dog to T.O.JOE. This new name wasn't used in an ARMS event until March 2020 when he came out of retirement for [[Quarantined Rapport]] in preparation for the [[ARMS North American Online Open (April 2020)|ARMS North American Online Open]]. A combination of Nintendo's newfound support of ARMS and the prospect of an ARMS fighter coming to Smash Ultimate brought T.O.JOE back to playing in Ohio's primary event, [[The Biweekly Procrastination]] on April 5, 2019. Due to how late this was in the season, he did not qualify for the Season 7 Power Ranking, but his activity afterward will likely warrant him a spot on Season 8's. | |||
